Talk About the Acai Berry Weight Loss Scam

I wanted to put out this post because I'm seeing a lot of information about what's being called the acai berry weight loss scam. In reality, this is not an inaccurate issue. Maybe it's a bad way of putting it and there are some companies that are using acai products to scam consumers. Not because of the acai itself, but the way they are doing business.

I think it's just some bad companies taking advantage of the popularity of acai with coverage on TV programs like Oprah and such. It drives me crazy when I see this type of reaction to what's otherwise a great product with some real benefits.

So let's take a real look at the acai and how it effects weight loss.

Now I'm not a nutrition expert nor am I a dietitian. What I am is an avid runner that is very health conscious and have always taken care to make sure I eat right and exercise.

So the reality is that there's no doubt that the acai is an amazing super-food along with many other super-foods and any time you introduce good nutrition or introduce the benefits of super-foods into the typical American diet, you will see an impact. It's just that simple. So many Americans are lacking in good nutrition that their body is starved to quality nutrients. Give it what it needs and it will perform better and be healthier.

But what is it about the acai that effects weight loss? To understand that we need to look at what the acai berry has in it.

First is your overall metabolism.
The acai berry contains Omega fatty acids – the same recommended fats found in fish oil, olive oil and flaxseed.
