VaNu Means Being Green

It only makes sense that we need to protect the natural resouces that make our planet such an amazing place. It's also important for a business and the people involved in that business to want to protect the resouces that make it possible to bring beneficial products to our customers.

So we do...

Fountain of Life could not bring you VaNu if we did not have the amazing super-foods to needed to create VaNu. Because these super-foods are found in some of the most amazing environments on the planet, it also means that they are often the most endangered environments. If we don't do what we can to protect them, we lose much more than a business, we lose the planet.

Few people realize...

Acai, although growing in popularity, exists in one of the most fragile environments we have on the planet. Did you know that the same palm that gives us the Acai berry, the acai palm, is the same palm that's used as the commercially farmed "Heart of Palm" eaten in salads around the world.

To farm the "Heart of Palm", the acai palm is one of the few palm trees in existence that's cut down and destroyed at a rate of 7,000 to 10,000 trees a week.

This is done to farm the "Heart of Palm" product. A 12-inch section of the acai palm.

But there is a alternative.

By bringing VaNu to more and more people, we're creating a demand for the amazing acai berry. By doing this, Fountain of Life is creating an economic incentive to allow the trees to remain unharmed for the indigenous people to reap the rewards of harvesting berries two times a year. We also encourage and aid in the process of planting additional trees in the Amazon Rainforest. Not cut trees down.

Our project "Amazon Life" believes we need to give back to the environments that make VaNu, our business and our planet possible.

What else can we do as a company?

We choose to use 100% recyclable glass and use shipping boxes with recycled corrugated papers. We are always looking for ways to be eco-conscious, green and to reduce our carbon footprint in all areas of operations.
